Visiting New Zealand

Welcome to Aotearoa – “Land of the Long White Cloud” – If you are here already!

New Zealand is a land of startling contrasts. It offers the visiting students/ groups a great variety of experiences and challenges. New Zealand has a population of only 4 million and its size is similar to that of Japan or the United Kingdom. NZIIU plays host to around 350 students per year. Some students only come for one to two weeks whereas others come for a full year or more.

NZIIU offers Student Exchange Programme and Full Fee Paying Programme for individual students, and also short-term English & Cultural Homestay Programmes for a group of you. Take the opportunity to participate in the programmes, embark on a life-time experience and make the most of them. They give you the opportunity to improve your English language skills whilst being immersed in the culture – the Kiwi style.

Individual Students

NZIIU has successfully placed hundreds of students throughout schools in New Zealand over the years.

We have close relationships with schools and have regular contacts with schools to make sure that our students are being looked after. NZIIU is one of only eleven Government Approved Exchange Scheme Organisations and is signatory to the Code of Practice for the Pastoral Care of Students. Is it important knowing that you have supports when you go abroad. With your request, NZIIU could also offer language support staff who are available 24/7.
